Other Info: Art has been my passion and tool for expression for as long as I can remember. Those who look close enough at my art will be able to read my thoughts and feel my emotions, as most of my art is a reflection of what I hold inside of me. Art to me includes all my outlets of expression and creativity, eg. digi/traditional painting, graphic design, photography, illustration, film making, web design, animation etc.

I have been creating art since I was very young, my Mothers dining table was a victim to this and I was constantly getting in trouble for getting paint, glitter and scratches on it. Then I was introduced to Photoshop when I was 14 by my boyfriend at the time - a much less messy way of creating! I started off with photo-manipulation and then moved to illustration.

Before I was introduced to photoshop I was very naive and thought all computer graphics were done with MSPaint. I first started drawing in MSPaint when I was 3... which is probably why my coordination with the mouse is so awesome.

By the time I was 16 I had my first graphics tablet, which was cheap and nasty and died very quickly. Now I have a wacom intuos 3, but would give anything to have a Cintiq (a monitor you can draw directly on to).

Within my first year of using photoshop I had won several awards for my prints and I was chosen to be in numerous exhibitions. Unfortunately these days I don't have as much time to spend illustrating, so I focus most of my energy in to photography.

I've always liked photography but I never really took it too seriously till I was 15 and started studying it in highschool. The first ever "studio" shoot I took in my bedroom (when i was 15) ended up on the front cover (and 7page spread) of an internationally distributed magazine (Design Graphics) 2 years later.

In 2004 one of the illustrations I created in photoshop was chosen to be displayed in the Western Australian Art Gallery, and then later toured to Tokyo, Japan. It was this very same piece of art which earned me a $5000 grant from the International Foundation for Arts and Culture. I used this grant to upgrade my computer and purchase my first digital SLR camera, the Canon 20D.

I'm still developing my own style and exploring new avenues. I love overcoming challenges, and especially learning new things. Art is my life. I can't go a day without at least making a sketch on a piece of paper.
